Bibbity, Bobbity, Blog...

Well, here I am... I have officially been added to the ever-growing list of members of "Blogmania". I promised myself that I would never get sucked in... But alas, my noble attempts at resisting "memberage" have failed.

I guess I should begin by introducing myself in a "bloggified" manner (and yes, you will oftentimes find me putting things in quotations, so get used to it). Yes, Andrea is my given name, but I am so many different things - Wife and Baby Mama to Brian, Mommy to Emma, daughter/Sweetie to Reba, and daughter-in-law to Cliff and Diane. I have a few main "best friends" - Shelley (my best friend and almost completely opposite of me), Marty (my Golden Girls partner and my piano player for church solos - unless it's "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". He never remembers how the verses start, despite the fact that he's known the song his whole life.), Angie (not only my darling friend, but Marty's sister), and... Ok, so there's more than a few. You will find that these people, or "characters", are key to many of my day-to-day happenings, so get to know them - well. I will introduce others as necessary, of course, but these are the key people in my life. However, the most important is a man that I have never seen with my eyes, but love with every fiber of my being and serve with ever breathe in my body - my Savior, Jesus Christ.

You will find that I'm quite open about most of the things that happen in my life. I am a blunt, straight-to-the-point kind o' gal, but I always do my best to express things with taste and class. However, it's genetically implanted in my DNA to tell colorful stories about my life - by "colorful", I don't mean lies, I mean expressive, non-boring details that make my stories fun and unique (at least in my eyes). I will always tell the truth to the best of my knowledge, no matter what. This is yet another thing that you'll have to get used to...I just tell it like it is. I will spare you most gory details, but you can be prepared at all times for an occasional "Umm... that's nice to know" type of feeling. Oh well - that's me.

I am a self-proclaimed member of the Grammar Police force. This doesn't mean that I'm always going to type my sentences perfectly, spell every word properly, or get every piece of puncuation right on target. If I don't, it's because I'm flowing with thoughts and don't feel like looking it up when in doubt.

Above all, I want to make sure that in all things, Christ is first in my life. He is my joy and my song, my hope and my salvation, my happiness and the love of my life. My blogs will oftentimes be entertaining and fun, but sometimes, it may be a scripture that I share, or a thought that God has given to me. There is a time for all things - including laughter and seriousness. As much as I like to laugh, sometimes, I'm feeling more laid back and thoughtful. I can be sarcastic in one blog, and an hour later, be completely somber in another (not that I'll be writing these things that often). I don't promise that I'll be faithful in writing everyday, or every week for that matter. I'll write when I feel something is deserving of being told or thought upon. You'll learn about parts of my life, and daily happenings - mainly about my daughter. She's hilarious. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to joke around with people - all in good, clean fun. My jokes are to be taken lightly, as they are meant to be harmless and happy!

Don't think this entry is necessarily indicitive of what my future blogs will be like. I'm merely rambling on at this point because I don't have anything on my mind except the frustration that Emma refuses to eat any meat that isn't breaded...or chicken...

Feel free to comment as you like! Enjoy!
